Design experience in process engineering of MOC or brownfield projects (ISBL & OSBL) of refinery and petrochemical facilities. Strong execution knowledge of process deliverables and interfaces with other disciplines. Experience with Pre‑FEED, FEED and detail engineering projects. Excellent communication, coordination and technical‑query skills.
Required technical skills: proficiency with Aspen Plus, HYSYS, PROII, Flare Net, KORF, AFT, HTRI; experience with transient/dynamic simulation is an advantage. Review and guide the work of process engineers as needed.
Key Responsibilities- Design and Development
- Design and develop oil and gas facilities, including production, liquids gathering/separation, flare/combustion, water collection‑processing, pump stations, VRUs, gas dehydration, pipelines, injection facilities, and gas processing plants.
- Design and implement detailed plans for new facilities or improvement of existing ones.
- Model complex pipeline systems.
- Performance Optimization
- Evaluate and improve existing facilities to optimize production while minimizing costs.
- Analyze production and performance data, identify process restrictions and excess system pressure, and implement efficiency‑enhancing measures.
- Lean Six Sigma certification is an asset.
- Compliance and Safety
- Ensure facilities comply with health, safety, environmental regulations and industry standards (ASME, ANSI, Federal and State of Wyoming regulations, API, OSHA, NACE).
- Project Management
- Manage projects to meet operational specifications, deadlines, and budget constraints.
- Coordinate activities of engineering, construction, and design groups, internal and external.
- Project management certifications are an asset.
- Stakeholder Liaison
- Collaborate with internal production and operations teams, area superintendents, and construction personnel.
- Act as liaison between internal and external project groups.
- Address concerns, provide updates, and ensure deliverables align with stakeholder expectations.
- Work with third‑party midstream partners to align objectives, schedules, and deliver shared deadlines.
- Collaborate with external construction companies and manage construction costs.
- Must have experience in oil and gas refinery or chemical refinery.
- Experience with process software (Aspen Plus, HYSYS, PROII, Flare Net, KORF, AFT, HTRI).
- Knowledge of regulatory and industry standards (ASME, ANSI, API, OSHA, NACE).
- Strong analytical and communication skills.
- Experience in Pre‑FEED, FEED, and detail engineering projects.
