Base Pay Range$70,000.00/yr – $95,000.00/yr

Your Impact- TRB Attendees
- We are looking for Transportation Engineers and Transportation Planners interested in working on exciting and engaging large‑scale infrastructure projects. Jacobs’ Transportation Group encompasses a diverse range of expertise and sectors, including:
- Rail and Transit Multimodal facilities, automated guideways, paratransit systems, bus facilities and depots, aerial, at‑grade, and underground stations, elevated structures, tunnels, and line structures.
- Bridges and Tunnels:
Comprehensive design, construction management, and inspection services. - Highways and Roads:
Expertise in planning, design, and maintenance. - Aviation Services:
Related to airport infrastructure and operations. - Ports and Maritime:
Port planning, capital projects, maintenance, container terminals, intermodal integration, jetties, quays, and coastal defense schemes.
- Assist in the preparation of planning studies, alternative analyses, impact assessments, and technical reports.
- Work under the direction of a project manager or senior planner on statewide and multi‑modal transportation planning projects.
- Conduct site investigations, perform engineering calculations, develop design drawings using CAD software, assist in the preparation of technical specifications, and contribute to environmental impact assessments.
- Perform tasks such as roadway alignment design, traffic signal timing, bridge structural analysis, or transit system capacity studies.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Transportation Engineering, Transportation/Urban Planning, or related engineering fields.
- Engineer in Training (EIT) certification or ability to obtain within a year of hire.
- Familiarity with CADD/Design software (preferably AutoCAD, Micro Station, Open Roads, Geopak).
- Strong self‑motivation, problem‑solving, team‑oriented work practices with excellent communication, organizational, and multitasking skills.
- Authorization to work within the United States without the need for sponsorship, now or in the future.
- Previous internship or project experience in transportation planning or engineering, including conducting traffic impact studies, preparing preliminary engineering reports for roadway and transit infrastructure projects, evaluating transportation system efficiency, or analyzing traffic flow patterns and multimodal networks.
