Lead Electrical Designer supporting EPC project design work for power generation projects. Responsible for managing a design team in the development of electrical raceway systems. Interfaces with other disciplines, engineering and construction throughout the life of the project. Manages budget schedules and resources. This position can be based in any of the following office locations:
Lenexa, KS;
Lone Tree, CO;
Houston, TX;
Raleigh, NC;
Phoenix/Tempe, AZ;
New York City, NY; or Woodcliff Lake, NJ.

For roles in Chattanooga, TN;
Detroit, MI; or Richmond, VA, the position will start remotely and transition to a hybrid/in‑office arrangement once the new office is established.

• Managing a group of electrical designers in the development of electrical raceway systems
• Managing electrical design activities against project schedule and budget
• Tracking and reporting on design progression to project management and other members of the project
• Completing monthly reports for quantities, schedule and forecasting
• Interfacing with construction to ensure design is safe, constructible, and low cost
• Coordinating with other disciplines, engineers and construction on the design
• Checking design deliverables for accuracy, quality and adherence to department standards
• Utilizing applicable engineering national and local codes
• Coordinating with project team by utilizing the Project Database:
  Request for Review Process, Holds List, ECN, Request for information from other disciplines, and all other applicable functions
• Completing miscellaneous tasks to support project development
• Acting as a field resource to assist construction in field resolution on issues
• Mentoring design team

• At least 8 years’ experience in electrical design
• Experience leading electrical design teams
• Experience managing budget and schedule
• Power generation experience, preferred
• Experience in Smart Plant 3D
• Must be able to conceptualize in a 3D environment
