Title: FEED Engineer (Front-End Engineering & Design)

Overview:
The FEED Engineer will support front-end engineering and design activities for interconnect and meter station projects. This role involves developing project scopes, cost estimates, and preliminary designs while collaborating with multiple internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment on technical and commercial objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop Class III, IV, and V cost estimates for greenfield and brownfield interconnect and meter station projects.
• Prepare initial project scopes and cost estimates for Tactical (< $10MM), Major ($10MM+), and Mega ($200MM+) expansion projects.
• Conduct cost analyses covering labor, materials, equipment, and contractor/subcontractor costs.
• Support business development and commercial teams by defining technical requirements and project scope for budget authorization.
• Perform capacity studies and develop preliminary desktop scopes and estimates for reimbursable interconnect projects.
• Coordinate with engineering, regulatory, environmental, government, and public affairs teams to optimize project design and cost.
• Communicate with customers, vendors, and suppliers to gather cost data and align on project expectations.
• Create preliminary meter station schematics and assist in reviewing Interconnect & Facility Agreements.
• Lead small project teams and deliver technical presentations.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Engineering (preferred).
• 35 years of relevant engineering experience, ideally in cost estimating or front-end design.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Power BI).
• Demonstrated ability to work independently on mid-sized projects with minimal supervision.
• Solid understanding of industry standards, safety requirements, and project management practices.
