SLB New Energy is seeking a highly driven and motivated Head of Workstream Execution to be part of our team. This position is focused on the planning and the execution of major projects supporting the solutions that SLB New Energy offers.

The Head of Workstream Execution is responsible for planning execution and cost control during all phases of multiple projects: feasibility, tender, design verification & optimization, project execution, handover to client and aftermarket services, etc. They work closely with Technology Subject‑Matter Experts to ensure project viability and reduce risk and cost while leading the delivery of the projects with the highest standards of safety, quality and efficiency.

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Ensure the planning and management for safe execution of projects with predictable cost, schedule and performance.
  • Build the execution team from the ground up to ensure proper resourcing for the delivery of the projects.
  • Lead the Project X‑Function execution teams to deliver projects within cost, time and quality.
During the Tender Phase
  • Work with the SMEs for the development of Proposal Risk Profile and Project Schedule.
  • Ensure compliance to standards, procedures, business systems, and knowledge sharing for project execution.
During the Execution Phase
  • Ensure due diligence during the progression from tender to planning and execution phases per Project Launch procedures.
  • Revalidate the as‑sold budget and approve the execution budget.
  • Revalidate the proposal schedule and develop/monitor/control the project baseline schedule.
  • Review and understand the contract and communicate key contractual obligations to X‑function execution teams.
  • Revalidate the contractual and technical risks identified during the tender phase.
  • Act as the contractual focal point for all customer communications (formal and informal).
  • Enforce X‑functional awareness and accountability for project schedule and budget.
  • Lead risk identification and develop risk mitigation plans.
  • Ensure compliance with all contractual obligations through the project lifecycle.
  • Ensure compliance with the change‑management process to identify and capture all changes.
  • Provide accurate, timely and effective reports to all required parties and stakeholders.
  • Apply continuous improvement / lean practices to systematically reduce cost, increase production, and improve safety, including documenting, sharing and adopting lessons learned and best practices within the product line, across the business and externally.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or project/business management – further education preferred.
  • Minimum 20 years of progressive experience in major project management within EPC and O&M related to power plants, ideally within gas‑to‑power and thermal power plants.
  • Previous experience building project teams from the ground up for major EPC projects.
  • Previous experience managing multiple EPC projects and leading execution teams with the highest standards of safety, quality, efficiency, and cost control.
  • Experience leading the planning and execution function during all phases of a project from tender to delivery, ideally with expertise in power plants.
  • Deep knowledge and expertise in project risk, scheduling and change management ensuring optimal delivery.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
