One of our clients is urgently looking for a Power Edge Server Administrator
.

The Power Edge Server Administrator is responsible for the deployment, configuration, maintenance, and optimization of Dell Power Edge servers within enterprise data center and hybrid infrastructure environments. The role ensures high availability, performance, security, and scalability of server platforms supporting critical business applications.

Experience with Dell Power Edge R470 servers and Power Vault ME5212 storage is a significant advantage.

• Install, configure, and maintain Dell Power Edge rack, tower, and blade servers.
• Perform firmware, BIOS, iDRAC, and lifecycle controller updates in line with best practices.
• Monitor server health, performance, and capacity using Dell Open Manage and related tools.
• Troubleshoot hardware failures, coordinate part replacements, and manage vendor escalations.
• Deploy and support virtualization platforms (VMware ESXi, Hyper‑V, or equivalent) on Power Edge servers.
• Install, configure, and patch Windows Server and Linux operating systems.
• Optimize server resources for virtual workloads and high‑availability configurations.

• Integrate Power Edge servers with SAN, NAS, and DAS storage solutions.
• Configure RAID, disk groups, and storage controllers (PERC).
• Collaborate with network teams to ensure proper VLAN, NIC teaming, and redundancy configurations.

• Apply security hardening standards and access controls at hardware and OS levels.
• Support backup and disaster recovery solutions for Power Edge‑based workloads.
• Ensure compliance with organizational IT policies and industry standards.
