I n this role, you will be the Subject Matter Expert for the Structural Engineering of Advanced Manufacturing Facilities including Semiconductor Manufacturing facilities and Data Centers. You will interface with client teams to determine work scope and support cost estimates for a project’s civil/structural aspects. You will lead and mentor structural engineering teams with design, modification, evaluation, and constructability reviews of civil/structural components and processes.

Your technical expertise will ensure the unique and complex requirements of a project’s civil/structural aspects are met.

• Plans and conducts independent scope of work and technical specifications for Civil/Structural design on large Advanced Manufacturing and Data Center Facilities
• Leads the design, development, modification and evaluation of Civil/Structural components and processes utilizing relevant Engineering Department Procedures (EDPs), design standards and guides, and Bechtel Standard Application Programs (BSAPs)
• Reviews and approves key design documents, supplier drawings and data, material specifications, drawings, change orders, and bid summaries for the project to which assigned
• Authors Departmental standards and design guides to perform structural engineering design of Advanced Manufacturing Facilities
• Determines the appropriate use of various structural elements such as steel, wood, masonry, and concrete to ensure appropriate material is used based on load or stress requirements
• Originates and checks complex Civil/Structural engineering deliverables, such as steel and concrete calculations, specifications, and material requisitions
• Develops conceptual designs for Civil/Structural engineering projects or projects having specialized or unique requirements
