The Transportation Practice is hiring a Traffic Project Manager to support our Texas region.

• Plan, schedule, conduct, and coordinate detailed phases of engineering work.
• Prepare traffic engineering capacity analyses, assess safety implications, and identify intersection operational improvements.
• Design and prepare construction drawings for traffic projects, including signals and ITS.
• Apply principles and practices of traffic engineering; solve traffic and engineering problems and communicate clearly in high-quality technical writing.
• Demonstrate reliability, commitment to projects, initiative, and a desire to advance knowledge of traffic engineering principles.
• Effectively manage tasks and projects, including financial and administrative duties, and communicate directly with clients.
• Supervise staff.

• Experience with Synchro/Sim Traffic, PTV Vistro/Vissim, and/or HCS software is preferred.
• Familiarity with AASHTO, MUTCD, and NACTO standards.
• Experience with Microstation.
• Experience with intersection and roadway concept development. Georgia DOT experience is a plus.
• Experience preparing traffic impact studies.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license is required.

• Bachelor’s Degree in a related field (AEC Industry) with a minimum of 3 years of related professional experience, or 7 years of equivalent professional experience.
• Participation in continuing education and professional development programs.
• Experience in project management roles with a track record of successful project delivery.
• Demonstrated leadership abilities to inspire and motivate project teams.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with clients, team members, and stakeholders.
• Technical knowledge in the specific project field.
• Proficiency with project management software and tools to develop and maintain project plans and documentation.
• Knowledge of industry standards and best practices related to project management, quality assurance, and safety protocols.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to implement effective solutions in a fast-paced environment.
• Negotiation skills to manage contracts, scope changes, and stakeholder agreements.
• Understanding of accounting principles to manage project budgets, financial reporting, and resource allocation.

• Master’s Degree in a related field (AEC Industry).

• Ability to complete the KCI PM Training and Contract Risk Training and pass the PM Board within 6 months of start date.
• Pre-employment drug screening is required. Background and motor vehicle checks may be required based upon position.
