Turbine Technician

Job Overview

Ethos Energy is currently seeking a Turbine Technician for our Houston, TX facility. This Second Shift position provides support to the Houston Production department and reports directly to the Turbine Supervisor. The role is located in the Engine Repair Operations (ERO) facility for the Light Turbines business unit.

• Disassemble, clean, inspect, and assemble gas turbine generators and associated equipment, calculating dimensions and clearances.
• Execute repairs and overhauls in accordance with production supervisor, project management, and customer requirements.
• Thoroughly complete all component repairs and overhaul records in a timely manner.
• Interpret and analyze engineering drawings, repair schemes, service bulletins, and all relevant technical documentation.
• Perform calculations using appropriate measuring equipment (e.g., micrometers).
• Comply with Ethos Energy and customer quality, health, safety, and environmental (QHSE) management systems, as well as all legal and regulatory requirements.
• Immediately report all accidents, incidents, near misses, and hazards to the HSE Department, completing required paperwork within 24 hours.
• Work with the team to foster a culture that embraces safety, health, sustainability, and proactive interventions.
• Perform other duties as required.

• Willingness and ability to learn new skills.

• One to three years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Understanding of basic engineering principles (a plus).
• Certificate from a technical school (a plus).
• Further educational qualification in a mechanical/engineering discipline (a plus).

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Capability to lift 35 lbs.
• Ability to squat and stand for long periods of time.
