Pay Range: $/yr - $/yr.

This role is within Jacobs, a leading engineering and construction company focused on life sciences, bio/pharma and other sectors.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the planning/scheduling team on large or mega projects.
  • Interface with engineering, procurement, construction, progress measurement, and the client.
  • Apply knowledge of pharmaceutical construction, standard industry methods, and scheduling best practices.
  • Facilitate Interactive Planning Sessions (IAPs) and create a fully integrated EPCM schedule from scratch using CPM methodology.
  • Understand EPCM project principles, logic, durations across Engineering, Procurement, and Construction.
  • Define resource loading for both engineering and construction activities and optimize scheduling.
  • Establish baseline schedule, schedule variance and critical path analysis.
  • Lead schedule update processes, reporting, and review sessions with internal teams.
  • Conduct client‑facing schedule reviews supporting Jacobs' PM and CM teams.
  • Maintain integrity of schedule inputs and outputs during updates.
  • Lead what‑if scenarios and work‑around solutions to support PM and CM teams.
  • Lead look‑ahead process of schedule activity and resource allocations.
  • Develop written analysis and schedule basis for all schedule publications.
  • Align schedule and Earned Value Management (EVM) throughout the project.
  • Develop system‑based schedules supporting CQV efforts.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 10+ years of planning/scheduling experience on EPCMV life‑cycle projects.
  • 10+ years Primavera P6 software experience with expert-level ability.
  • Understanding of production building, construction timelines, and industry best practices.
  • Facilitate multi‑company interactive planning sessions.
  • Create, update, and analyze CPM schedules and recommend improvements.
  • Communicate schedule status regularly via formal and informal meetings and reports.
  • Collaborate with PM and CM using the schedule as a delivery tool.
  • Coordinate project’s earned value system with schedule updates.
  • Knowledge of general principles, theories, concepts, and industry standards.
  • Experience with Earned Value Management.
  • Develop cost/schedule analysis presentations (graphically, written, verbally).
Preferred
  • Relevant pharmaceutical/biotech construction experience.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and technical terminology understanding.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint) and cost tracking/forecasting.
  • Ability to learn and apply applicable statutes and guidelines.
  • Attention to detail and ability to work time‑consciously and efficiently.
  • Preference for experience with Engineering, Procurement, and Construction functions.
