Due to the growing demand for our dynamic simulator services globally, we are seeking a Flow Assurance Engineer to join our Energy Simulation team in Houston, Texas.
About the RoleThe Energy Simulation team is providing dynamic process simulator services and solutions to the energy industry based on the advanced proprietary process and flow simulators; K-Spice® and Leda Flow®. You would be a part of a global team working to build full scale dynamic process simulators.
K-Spice® andLedaFlow®are world-leading dynamic simulators for the energy domain.
These advanced simulatorsarehelping clients worldwide to design new assets, improve operations and train their personnel efficiently and safely. A variety of services and solutions ranging from real-time production monitoring systems, flow assurance studies, process studies for Front End Engineering Design (FEED) phase, engineering verification simulators, control system check-out simulators and operator training simulators are provided. The tools have now also proven capabilities for CO2 capture, transport, and storage.
- Build and run dynamic simulation models, such as real-time production monitoring systems.
- Support and maintain real-time production monitoring systems.
- Conduct & lead flow assurance studies
- Interact with customers and key stakeholders.
- Act as an advisor to our clients based on an overall understanding of their facilities.
- Improve our ways of working by questioning and challenging our simulator building processes, introducing new tools and improving our software products.
- Depending on qualifications and experience, become technically responsible for the complete simulator delivery.
- Perform all work according to the working methods set out in our Business Management System (BMS).
- Other simulation activities, as needed.
- 3+ years of flow assurance experience
- Have a bachelor’s or higher degree in engineering field related to flow assurance
- Is self-driven with a positive attitude and good cooperation skills.
- Has relevant work experience with proven results.
- Communicates complex topics clearly with diverse audiences, both orally and in writing, and is comfortable giving and receiving feedback.
- Able and willing to travel about 10%.
- Experience with multiphase flow simulation
- Knowledge of CO2 transportation and injection processes, hydrate formation and wax deposition
