As an Infrastructure Engineer at Enchanted Rock, you’ll design, implement, and support highly available, secure server infrastructure, virtualization, and cloud platforms (Azure, AWS). You’ll manage Windows and Linux servers, identity services (Active Directory / Microsoft Entra ), automation, and lead network initiatives including SASE/SD‑WAN and Fortinet administration. You’ll automate operations, harden identity and access controls, and improve disaster recovery and business continuity.
In partnership with Security and cross‑functional teams, you’ll deliver resilient, high‑availability services that enable the business.
- Owning core Active Directory / Microsoft Entra (MFA, Conditional Access), DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy in a hybrid on‑prem/cloud environment.
- Provisioning, configuring, and maintaining Windows and Linux servers (on‑prem and in cloud), including patching, hardening, performance tuning, and backups/recovery.
- Managing and supporting Mobile Device Management (MDM) solutions for secure provisioning, policy enforcement, and lifecycle management across various platforms and vendors.
- Automating operational tasks using RMM and scripting (Power Shell, Python) to monitor systems and networks, streamline patching/maintenance, and accelerate incident response.
- Designing, configuring, and implementing SD‑WAN and SASE solutions (CATO and similar) across sites.
- Deploying and administering firewalls, VPNs, and security appliances (Forti Gate, Forti Manager, Forti Analyzer).
- Defining and enforcing Zero Trust/SASE controls and ensuring compliance with corporate and regulatory requirements.
- Monitoring network performance and managing device lifecycle (firmware, patches) to ensure high availability.
- Working with cross‑functional and cybersecurity teams to implement best practices, deliver IT projects, and respond to incidents.
- Partnering with vendors and service providers on escalations, upgrades and managed services.
- Developing and maintaining documentation, diagrams, SOPs, runbooks, and knowledge base articles for IT and support teams.
- Strong experience in systems administration: OS upgrades, patch management, scripting for server / cloud automation.
- Demonstrated track record managing backup and disaster recovery for server environments.
- Have Fortinet NSE certifications (NSE4/NSE5 or higher).
- Bring prior OT/IT Integration experience.
What you’ll need:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 7+ years of experience as a Systems/Network Engineer with hands‑on Windows and Linux server administration.
- Proven experience with virtualization (VMware or Hyper‑V), storage, backups, and cloud platforms (Azure, AWS).
- Active Directory / Microsoft Entra (MFA, Conditional Access).
- Scripting and automation experience (Power Shell, Python) and use of RMM/monitoring tools.
- Experience with SD‑WAN/SASE design and Fortinet firewall administration.
- Solid understanding of routing, switching, and VPN technologies (IPSec/SSL).
- Strong troubleshooting, project delivery, and communication skills.
- Willingness and ability to travel up to 20% of the time (local/regional).
