We’re looking for an Engineering Design Manager to work on projects of varying sizes.

Your

Key Responsibilities
  • Forecast and organize project design development and production delivery.
  • Coordinate with consultants, team members, and the client.
  • Address projects following protocol and procedure to reach the best solution.
  • Manage client/owner contractor relationships, budgets, codes, and jurisdictional requirements.
  • Offer onsite assistance in construction observation.
  • Network to build relationships with new and returning clients.
Your Capabilities and Credentials
  • Ability to work on all project sizes, including large projects valued at $30MM plus.
  • Strong architecture and detailing skills.
  • Expert in construction administrative processes.
  • Detail-oriented and organized with proven experience managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Effective in coordinating with contractors, architectural teams, and consultants.
  • Ability to lead and organize a multidisciplinary team of multiple disciplines and consultants.
  • Proven track record with public speaking and networking.
  • Excellent writing skills.
  • Analytical thinker with strong problem‑solving skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with AutoCAD and Revit.
  • Currently holds or is eligible for federal security clearance.
  • Available for occasional travel within the US.
Education and Experience
  • Must have a degree in engineering, architecture, or a related field from an accredited university.
  • Licensed Architect.
  • 10+ years of experience in science and technology projects, including data center, mission‑critical, and semiconductor.

Pay

Transparency

In compliance with pay transparency laws, pay ranges are provided for positions in locations where required. Please note that the final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec, certain roles are bonus‑eligible. Actual compensation for part‑time roles will be pro‑rated based on the agreed number of working hours per week.

Benefits Summary

Regular full‑time and part‑time employees (working at least 20 hours per week) have access to medical, dental, and vision plans, a wellness program, health savings accounts, flexible spending accounts, 401(k) plan, employee stock purchase program, life and accidental death & dismemberment (AD&D) insurance, short‑term/long‑term disability plans, emergency travel benefits, tuition reimbursement, professional membership fee coverage, and paid family leave. Regular full‑time and part‑time employees will receive ten paid holidays in each calendar year.

Employees may accrue vacation between 10 and 20 days per year and are eligible for paid sick leave in accordance with state and local law. Temporary/casual employees have access to 401(k) plans, employee stock purchase program, and paid leave in accordance with state and local law.
