Generac Generator Technician
We are seeking a motivated and reliable full-time Generator Technician to join our team. In this role, you’ll primarily focus on troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining backup power generators while also contributing to project delivery and other duties as needed. As part of our small team, you’ll wear many hats, taking on varied responsibilities until the technician role becomes fully specialized. As a small, dynamic team, we value versatility, collaboration, and a commitment to excellence. We’re looking for a skilled Generator Technician to join us full-time and grow with our company.
Responsibilities- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair backup power generators, ensuring high-quality service.
- Perform routine maintenance to optimize generator performance and reliability.
- Complete assigned work orders efficiently and accurately.
- Provide technical support and guidance to customers on generator operation, repairs, and parts.
- Assist with project delivery, including installations and other team tasks as needed.
- Maintain detailed and accurate records of services performed and parts used.
- Collaborate with the team to support various company initiatives in a fast-paced environment.
- Required:
3+ years of experience as a Generator Technician. - Required:
Certification on Generac Air-Cooled generators. - Preferred:
Experience with Liquid-Cooled generators. - Proven ability to evaluate, troubleshoot, and repair generator systems effectively.
- Strong technical knowledge of generator systems and components.
- Ability to work independently in the field with minimal supervision.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills to interact with clients professionally.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Team-oriented mindset with flexibility to take on varied tasks and responsibilities.
- Enthusiasm for learning and adapting in a small, collaborative team environment.
Pay: $25–$40/hour, based on experience.
