• Facilitate students’ growth in a student-centered, developmentally appropriate environment, following and fine-tuning an integrated, relevant curriculum that develops students’ curiosity and encourages higher-level thinking.
• Develop students’ deep understandings of chemistry concepts, proficiency with key skills, and the ability to solve complex and novel problems.
• Employ professional judgment to utilize appropriate methods, including direct instruction, structured investigation, and open exploration.
• Contribute to the growing Upper School team with ideas and execution.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with students, parents, and faculty, recognizing and addressing each student’s social-emotional needs.
• As an advisor, get to know advisees and their families well, serving as the nexus of communication between home and school, promoting social-emotional development, and offering appropriate guidance and care for members of the advisory group.
