The Adjunct ADN Instructor position is a pivotal role within our academic framework, designed to enhance the educational experience of nursing students through targeted evening tutoring and remedial skills clinics. This role is instrumental in fostering academic excellence, building student confidence, and ensuring the successful progression of learners within the ADN program.
As an Adjunct ADN Instructor, you will play a key role in preparing future nurses to meet professional and academic expectations, leveraging your clinical expertise to address knowledge gaps and reinforce critical nursing concepts, collaborating with students to create a positive, engaging, and supportive learning environment, and contributing to the overall success of the ADN program by mentoring and guiding students toward achieving their academic goals.
Responsibilities- Provide specialized academic support tailored to the needs of nursing students
- Leverage your clinical expertise to address knowledge gaps and reinforce critical nursing concepts
- Play a key role in preparing future nurses to meet professional and academic expectations
- Collaborate with students to create a positive, engaging, and supportive learning environment
- Contribute to the overall success of the ADN program by mentoring and guiding students toward achieving their academic goals
- Provide evening tutoring sessions in assigned ADN subjects to support student learning and comprehension
- Lead remedial skills clinics to strengthen students' practical nursing competencies
- Assist students in understanding and applying course content effectively
Mentor students on academic and professional expectations to prepare them for successful careers in nursing - Maintain a positive, engaging, and inclusive learning environment that fosters academic growth
- Active, unencumbered Texas RN license
- Master’s or Doctoral degree, preferably in Nursing
- If the Master’s degree is in a field other than Nursing, must hold a BSN and have completed at least 6 graduate nursing credits
- Demonstrated teaching ability and current clinical knowledge
- 3+ years of teaching experience in a nursing education program is preferred
