Coordinator, Weekend College (Part-Time)
Location:
Houston, Texas.
Responsible for all activities involving administration of the program on Saturdays: information sessions and student advising, responding to Smart sheets and other recruiting, assisting with schedule development, room assignments, and facilitating the enrollment of all students in a program that is cohort driven. The coordinator will communicate to students through newsletters, emails, or texts, and will interact with Student Services (enrollment, business office, advising) to enroll students.
The coordinator is also the primary on-campus contact for all faculty teaching courses on Saturdays in the Weekend College and is the primary contact for campus facilities on Saturdays (classrooms, computer labs).
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the essential duties and responsibilities listed above. The qualifications listed below are representative of the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required.
EDUCATIONBachelor’s degree required.
EXPERIENCE4 years related experience required.
KNOWLEDGE,SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Excellent organizational and documentation skills.
- Able to work well in a team environment.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Possess critical thinking/problem solving skills.
- Demonstrated MS Office computer application skills.
- Excellent good written and oral communication skills.
- Able to communicate courteously and effectively with a varied population and have a service-oriented philosophy.
