Position: Title 1 Interventionist - ELA

Primary Purpose

Provide targeted academic intervention aligned to the Clear Creek Independent School District curriculum to accelerate academic achievement, close skill gaps, and promote mastery of grade-level standards. Actively engage in actions that contribute to the overall mission and strategic plan of Clear Creek ISD.

Qualifications Education/Certification/Licensure
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
  • Valid Texas teaching certificate for the grade level(s) and content assigned (EC–6, 4–8, or 7–12)
  • ESL certification preferred
Special Knowledge/Skills
  • Knowledge of Tier 1 instruction, Tier II interventions, RTI, and data-driven instructional practices
  • Knowledge of EB instructional strategies and language acquisition best practices
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
Experience
  • Minimum of two years of successful classroom teaching experience
  • Experience providing small-group intervention, curriculum alignment, and supporting EB students preferred
Major Responsibilities and Duties
  • Provide research-based instruction and interventions in target classes, pull‑out, or push‑in settings based on data from common formative, summative, benchmarks, and state assessments to at‑risk students.
  • Align instruction to CCISD curriculum and TEKS.
  • Maintain intervention documentation and student progress records including a gradebook in accordance with CCISD grading guidelines, as required.
  • Participate in professional development and campus initiatives.
  • Conduct ongoing assessments and use data to plan, implement, and adjust instruction.
  • Provide accelerated instruction to support mastery of grade‑level standards and readiness for state assessments.
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers, instructional leaders, and campus administration to support student achievement.
  • Modify instruction as needed for Special Education, 504, EB, and GT students.
  • Maintain accurate student records, progress‑monitoring data, and Title I documentation.
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff.
  • Follow CCISD Student Code of Conduct and campus behavior expectations.
  • Take all necessary precautions to protect students and ensure a safe learning environment.
  • Participate in professional development and support campus initiatives.
  • Exhibit CCISD Core Values of trustworthiness, respect, responsibility, fairness, caring, and citizenship.
  • Actively engage in actions that contribute to the overall mission and strategic plan of Clear Creek ISD.
  • Stay up‑to‑date professionally through the selection of quality professional learning opportunities for personal growth.
  • Research district policy, precedent, and current practices prior to taking action.
  • Participate as an effective team member who contributes to district, department, and content goals.
  • Demonstrate proficient levels of technology applications.
  • Participate fully in drills and safety exercises to provide for the safety and overall emotional wellbeing of students.
  • Utilize time wisely for effective management of job responsibilities.
  • Maintain punctuality in daily work times, appointments, and meetings.
  • Meet task completion deadlines established by supervisor.
  • Maintain friendly customer‑service‑driven interactions with all stakeholders, students, teachers, administrators, and co‑workers.
  • Work cooperatively with co‑workers and supervisors to ensure that the goals of the school/department are met.
  • Maintain a positive and professional tone in all communication (i.e. email, written, and verbal).
  • Perform other duties and accept other responsibilities as assigned.
Working Conditions Mental Demands

Effective verbal and written communication; concentration while performing duties; ability to maintain emotional control under stress; ability to work with frequent interruptions.

Physical Demands/Environmental Factors

Frequent standing, stooping, bending, lifting, moving textbooks, media equipment, desks, and other classroom materials.
