Position

Corporate Trainer IT/PC Software Training — The role advances the institution’s tradition of excellence in academics, student life and community service.

HCC’s Corporate College provides on-site workforce training and custom business instruction, with classes scheduled during the day, in the evening or on weekends; at the client’s worksite, online or at HCC facilities.

Your mission: Provide soft-skills training to corporate clients on an on-call basis.

Your work: Assess client training needs with Corporate College staff, then develop and deliver training in one- to three-day classroom formats using texts, handouts, exercises and assessment tools. Update and revise course content and teaching methods to maintain relevancy.

Summary

Provide soft skills training to corporate clients on an on-call basis, focusing on leadership, management, supervisory and customer service skills, diversity and other human resource issues. Deliver training based on client objectives.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Provide training and/or consulting to corporate clients; assess training needs with Corporate College staff; customize training to fit client objectives; deliver instruction in soft skills (leadership, supervisory skills, diversity, HR issues, etc.); conduct 1–3 day classroom trainings with applicable materials; update and revise course content to ensure currency; maintain familiarity with current materials and methods; seek ways to improve instruction; attend scheduled meetings;

maintain records (class schedules, rosters, attendance, grades); adhere to procedures for ongoing consideration for other assignments.

Qualifications

Education
:
Bachelor’s degree in a specialized area. Level 1 certifications in courses (Leadership, Customer Service, etc.) preferred. Non-certified candidates must be willing to be trained/certified upon employment.

Experience
:
