The Teacher Assistant works as a partner with the school team in developing and delivering educational experiences for Baker Ripley Community School students to provide an enriched learning environment. Lessons and student management support the school in carrying out goals, policies, and activities designed to implement educational objectives and performance standards.
CORE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
MINIMUM EDUCATION:
Associate’s degree or higher, or completion of at least two years (48 semester hours or equivalent trimester hours) at an institution of higher education. Experience teaching students with special needs in a general education classroom can substitute for educational requirements.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Some college coursework
- Associates degree
Experience:
- Experience working with students with special needs (preferred)
