Your mission:
Weâll count on you to provide softâskills training to corporate clients on an onâcall basis, particularly in the areas of leadership, management, supervisory skills, diversity and other humanâresource issues.
Your work:
First, youâll assess the clientâs business training needs in conjunction with Corporate College staff. Second, based on the information gleaned, youâll develop and deliver training in oneâtoâthreeâday classroom formats, using texts, handouts, class exercises and/or assessment tools.
In this role, youâll actively seek ways to improve instruction as you continue to update and revise course content and teaching methodology to maintain relevancy.
SummaryProvide soft skills training to corporate clients on an onâcall basis, particularly in the areas of leadership, management, supervisory, and customer service skills, diversity and other humanâresource issues. Deliver training based on clientâs needs and objectives.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Provide training and/or consulting to corporate clients as needed.
- Assess training needs for clients in conjunction with Corporate College staff.
- Customize training content and format to fit clientâs objectives.
- Provide instruction to clients in the areas of soft skills, such as leadership, supervisory skills, diversity, humanâresource issues, etc.
- Deliver training in 1âday to 3âday classroom formats, using relevant training materials such as texts, handouts, class exercises or assessment tools.
- Continue to update and revise course content and teaching methodology in order to maintain currency and relevance.
- Maintain familiarity with current texts, materials, teaching aides and techniques relative to courses within the discipline and recommend their adoption when appropriate.
- Actively seek ways to improve instruction.
- Attend scheduled meetings with client and Corporate College as requested, including Adjunct Faculty Orientation.
- Maintain accurate records, including class schedules, student rosters, 3âday attendance and grade rosters. Strict observance of these procedures is required for onâgoing consideration for other training assignments.
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the essential duties and responsibilities listed above. The qualifications listed below represent the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required.
EducationBachelorâs degree in a specialized area. Level 1 â Certifications in courses (Leadership, Customer Service, etc.) are preferred. Nonâcertified candidates must be willing to be trained/certified upon employment.
ExperienceCommunity college, university teaching, or corporate training experience is highly desired. Level 1 â A minimum of three (3) years of demonstrated, corporate training/subjectârelated industry/technical experience is required. Up to 3 years of experience working in HCC, conducting corporate training, is preferred. Industry training, community college or university teaching experience is highly desired.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities- Knowledge and experience in the discipline of management, human resources, curriculum development, etc., with the ability to encourage clients to use critical thinking and problemâsolving skills.
- Knowledge of learning theoryâmotivational, perceptual, and emotional forces present in the learning process and the conditions which affect individual learning and change.
