Description
The Director of Alumni Relations leads, designs, and executes comprehensive alumni engagement strategies advancing the University’s mission and institutional priorities. The Director provides strategic oversight for all alumni-facing initiatives, including, but not limited to, the Alumni Association, alumni volunteer and leadership programs, alumni awards, campus partnerships, student programs, benefits and services, annual fund efforts, and signature events. The Director enhances and manages a robust alumni communications program and collaborates across departments to advance the division’s mission, fostering long-term relationships, volunteerism, advocacy, and philanthropy.
Duties- Conceptualizes, designs and implements comprehensive alumni engagement strategies. Serves as primary Alumni Relations liaison on campus.
- Collaborates with campus partners to build meaningful alumni engagement opportunities, including colleges and departments.
- Directs the planning and execution of on- and off-campus events and programs to strengthen alumni connections and support University initiatives.
- Oversees alumni communications, including newsletters, email campaigns, social media, websites, and digital content, ensuring consistent and engaging messaging.
- Manages Alumni Association Board of Directors to have involvement as key advisors of alumni strategy, along with the committees in specified areas.
- Develops and manage alumni–student engagement initiatives, including mentorship program and class rings.
- Oversees Annual Giving strategy for key campaigns throughout the year.
- Develops, manages, and oversees the alumni relations budget, ensuring responsible stewardship of resources and identification of new revenue streams to support programming.
- Supervises Alumni Relations staff, delegates program management and performsrelated duties as assigned.

- Knowledge in alumni engagement, communications, and programming practices.
- Ability to effectively manage with appropriate management styles.
- Skills in multichannel messaging (email, newsletters, social media, digital platforms).
- Knowledge in volunteer engagement and stewardship.
- Ability to problem-solve and use strategic thinking.
- Skills in alumni relations budget oversight and financial planning.
- Knowledge in donor pipeline support through Annual Giving engagement and stewardship.
- Skills in alumni database management and CRM utilization.
- Ability to adapt and innovate in program delivery.
- Ability to collaborate with colleges, departments, institutes, and centers.
