Position Summary / Job Goals

To deliver high-quality Business Management instruction that sets ambitious academic expectations and supports all learners in achieving strong outcomes.

The High School Business Management Teacher fosters analytical thinking, ethical reasoning, financial literacy, and strategic decision‑making skills. Instruction emphasizes real‑world application, case study analysis, data interpretation, and entrepreneurial thinking within a global context.

The teacher creates a safe, respectful, and intellectually engaging learning environment that prepares students for university‑level study and global business environments.

Qualifications / Training
  • Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Business Management or a related field.
  • Teaching certification or equivalent professional training.
  • Strong pedagogical understanding of Business Management instruction, assessment, and differentiation.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional learning and development.
  • IB Diploma Programme and/or AP experience preferred.
Experience / Knowledge
  • Demonstrates expert knowledge of Business Management content and effective instructional practices.
  • Designs coherent sequences of lessons that deepen understanding and build complex skills.
  • Uses formative and summative assessment to guide instruction, diagnose learning needs, and provide actionable feedback.
  • Understands how young people develop and learns to personalize instruction based on ability, background, interests, and learning needs.
  • Creates and maintains high expectations for student progress, behaviour, and classroom culture.
  • IB and/or AP experience is preferred.

Major Responsibilities And Duties
  • Set ambitious expectations for all students and take responsibility for their academic progress in Business Management.
  • Plan and deliver engaging, well‑structured lessons that promote deep understanding, problem‑solving, and higher‑order thinking.
  • Create a safe, respectful, and stimulating classroom environment rooted in high standards of behaviour and mutual respect.
  • Use assessment data to monitor learning, adjust instruction, differentiate support, and provide timely, meaningful feedback.
  • Communicate regularly with parents and colleagues regarding student progress, achievement, and wellbeing.
  • Participate actively in professional learning, reflect on teaching practice, and implement strategies to improve student outcomes.
  • Contribute to extracurricular activities, school events, and wider NAE initiatives, fostering collaboration and global citizenship.
  • Uphold safeguarding, inclusion, and the school’s values in all interactions.
