Job SummaryThis position is part of the teaching faculty responsible for providing learning activities and support to achieve course objectives and contribute to the educational environment of the college and community. Adjunct faculty are hired on a part‑time semester‑by‑semester basis and may teach up to five classes per academic year.
Essential Job Functions- Teach Business Administration courses at various times and locations.
- Create engaging lessons that promote student involvement and application of the material.
- Submit required college reports and forms in a timely manner.
- Utilize a course syllabus for each course, following established institutional guidelines.
- Meet with and advise students before or after class, by appointment, electronic communication, or other appropriate methods.
- Evaluate students to measure progress in achieving course objectives and inform students of their progress promptly.
- Maintain professional relationships with students, colleagues, and the community.
- Attend meetings, trainings, and orientations as required.
- Perform other reasonable, related duties as assigned.

- Ability to develop and implement instructional approaches such as service learning/civic engagement, learning communities, and the effective use of technology.
- Use of effective strategies to engage students in their learning.
- Work is sedentary with occasional walking, standing, bending, and light carrying.
- Use of PC workstation, calculator, phone, and other general office equipment.
- Interface with internal and external contacts as needed.
- Work performed in climate‑controlled classroom/lab with minimal exposure to safety hazards.
- Hours vary with class time; instructors must be available to students outside of class instruction.
- Master's degree in management/business/administration or a Master's degree with at least 18 graduate hours in management/business.
$55.44 per contact hour.
