Our 2-Hour Learning framework combines AI-adaptive platforms with expert-led instruction to accelerate reading outcomes. Your objective: create and execute focused, short-duration reading workshops that produce quantifiable improvements in phonics, fluency, and comprehension for early elementary learners, then support us in replicating that program across multiple campuses nationwide.

This role is not about paperwork or lesson-plan templates. It’s about evidence-based teaching, technology partnership, and constructing a reading program designed to serve thousands of students.

• Facilitating focused, short-duration reading workshops that strengthen phonics, comprehension, and fluency
• Creating personalized motivational interventions using gamified literacy benchmarks
• Reviewing student performance data to refine teaching strategies and generate actionable insights
• Partnering with engineering teams to assess and improve AI literacy platforms based on classroom outcomes
• Building scalable, AI-supported content that enables early elementary learners to reach grade-level reading proficiency

• Conducting 90-minute lessons or adhering to traditional curricula—students master academic content through AI-adaptive applications

• Reading Specialist key responsibilities
• Bachelor’s degree
• Advanced certification in reading instruction (e.g., Orton-Gillingham, Wilson, LETRS, CERI, or equivalent) OR Master’s degree in reading instruction
• Minimum 2 years of experience providing small-group reading interventions to K–2 students
• Capable of assessing reading levels, forming student groups, and creating differentiated instruction without relying on pre-packaged curricula
• Comfortable with AI/adaptive learning platforms and responsive to student interactions within those systems
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
• Willing to work on-site at one of our campuses:
  Phoenix, AZ;
  Austin, TX;
  Fort Worth, TX;
  Plano, TX;
  Tampa, FL; or Dorado, Puerto Rico

This is a full-time (40 hours per week), long-term position. The position is immediately available and requires entering into an independent contractor agreement with Crossover as a Contractor of Record. The compensation level for this role is $50 USD/hour, which equates to $100,000 USD/year assuming 40 hours per week and 50 weeks per year. The payment period is weekly.
