Overview
The University of Houston - Clear Lake (UHCL) invites applications for 2 positions of Lecturer in Biology, beginning August 2026. UHCL is a comprehensive university with over 8,000 students and a diverse population of traditional and non-traditional students. UHCL is in southeast Houston, the fourth largest city adjacent to NASA Johnson Space Center and within driving distance of the Texas Medical Center and UTMB Medical Center in Galveston.
The region is one of the most diverse in the United States, home to vibrant communities such as the historic East End and Third Ward.
The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching courses at the undergraduate and graduate level to meet the demand of the biology program related to the candidate's field of study. The successful candidates' primary responsibility will be teaching (80%) and service (20%). This position has a normal teaching load of 12 credit hours per semester (4 fall and 4 spring course teaching load) with the opportunity to teach courses in the summer semester.
QualificationsRequired:
- Candidates must have a MS in Biology or a closely related field.
Preferred:
- PhD in Biology or a closely related field
