Federal -Study| Esports Student Assistant

Position: Federal Work-Study| Esports Student Assistant
Department:
Sports and Fitness Salary: $12.00 per hour

Description:

* Ensures esports center rules are followed and helps keep the esports center area clean

* Answers and assists with department phone calls

* Performs general clerical work (copying, filing, distributing mail, data entry)

* Interacts with all levels of university personnel, students, and the general population

* Assists in giving guided tours of the esports center

* Assists students, faculty, and staff

* Assists with social media posts and online community discussion boards

* Assists with events and initiatives sponsored by the Office of Student Activities

* Runs errands within the university campus buildings

* Assists the office staff as needed

* Serves as backup to the Student Activities department

* Performs opening and closing procedures and follows all UHD emergency procedures

* All other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

* Must have the ability to multitask and interact professionally with staff, faculty, and students

* Must be familiar with Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, and Power Point

* Must be well organized, responsible, punctual, and a self-starter

* Must have good people skills and a professional attitude and appearance

* Must have effective verbal/written communication skills

* Must be familiar with video game systems:
Xbox, Play Station, Nintendo, PC

Qualifications:

* Must be a current UHD student

* Must be eligible for Federal Work-Study
