Responsible for directly tutoring individuals by asking and answering questions and demonstrating examples relating to the subject.

• Tutor developmental math and workforce students in any setting except online.
• Tutor college-level transfer courses in supplemental instruction model only.
• Ask and answer academic questions, using examples relating to a particular subject.
• Provide analytic and diagnostic services for students increasing affective work results.
• Process new students assuring individuals’ learning needs are met.
• Provide support services required during semester.
• Evaluate and recommend tutoring materials.
• May tutor in other developmental areas under the supervision of a Tutor II or Faculty Tutor.

High school diploma or GED required. Some college credit hours preferred. Applicant must have completed at least 1 college course in the subject area being tutored with a grade of

A.

1 year work experience in post-secondary institution tutoring setting preferred.

• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office programs.
• Possess excellent verbal and written communications skills.
• Possess good interpersonal skills to perform successfully in a large multicultural environment.
• Able to be well organized, task-oriented and flexible.
• Able to work flexible hours to include evenings and weekends.
