Job Summary:

Kido International Preschool is growing, with our newest school opening Fall 2024. We are seeking passionate and dedicated Lead and Assistant Bilingual Teachers to join our dynamic team. Our ideal candidates will embody our core values of Listen, Learn, and Lead, ensuring each child receives the highest quality early childhood education and developmental opportunities. Key Responsibilities:

Lead Bilingual Teacher:
  • Listen:
    • Actively engage with children to understand their needs, interests, and developmental progress.
    • Communicate effectively with parents and guardians, providing regular updates and insights into their child’s experiences and growth.
    • Collaborate with colleagues to share observations and strategies for supporting each child's development.
  • Learn:
    • Stay informed about the latest research and best practices in early childhood education and development.
    • Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge.
    • Observe and document each child’s developmental milestones and learning experiences, using this information to tailor educational activities.
  • Lead:
    • Design and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and activities that foster children's physical, social, emotional, and cognitive development.
    • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment where every child feels valued and supported.
    • Serve as a role model for children, demonstrating positive behavior and effective communication skills.
    • Inspire and guide children to reach their full potential, helping to shape their future success.
Assistant Bilingual Teacher:
  • Support Lead Teacher: Assist in creating and implementing lesson plans and activities.
  • Engage with Children: Provide care and supervision, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment.
  • Communicate with Parents: Help maintain open communication with parents and provide updates on their child’s progress.
  • Collaborate: Work closely with the lead teacher and other staff members to support classroom activities and overall program goals.
  • Professional Development: Participate in training and development opportunities to continuously improve your skills.
Qualifications:

Lead Bilingual Teacher:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field OR CDA
  • At least 1 year of experience working with children from birth to 5 years in a licensed childcare facility.
  • Fluency in English and Spanish.
  • Strong understanding of early childhood growth and development.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
Assistant Bilingual Teacher:
  • Experience working with young children in a childcare setting.
  • Fluency in English and Spanish.
  • Basic understanding of early childhood development.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
