Examination Room Proctor - Cizik School of Nursing (Casual)

UTHealth Houston’s Cizik School of Nursing is hiring an Examination Room Proctor to join the team on a casual, as‑needed basis. The Proctor will monitor students during prescheduled exams, ensuring exam integrity and providing basic support as needed.

Location: 6901 Bertner Ave, Houston, TX 77030.

Provides examination preparationicación, administration, proctoring, and grading services for individualized student testinguß; ensures the security of exam materials and the operation and minor maintenance of sophisticated testing equipment.

• Administers, proctors, and grades examinations.
• Contacts faculty members concerning testing schedules and packaging.
• Communicates with supervisors regarding issues or unusual circumstances.
• Supervises a less experienced Exam Room Proctor and provides guidance and motivation.
• Generates various tests and versions.
• Runs Scantron machine to grade exams electronically and calculates grades.
• Operates a microfiche reader to provide documents to students as needed.
• Operates video recorder cameras to record student activity during the test.
• Refers suspected cheating, equipment malfunctions, disciplinary problems, and test content errors to the appropriate personnel.
• Solves routine questions relating to exams or procedures.
• Determines the testing schedule for students and updates record‑keeping systems; ensures that only a limited number of students are scheduled for each exam.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

High School Diploma required;
Associate degree preferred.

Two years of experience in testing procedures, record‑keeping, and the use of audiovisual apparatus such as video tape recorders and microfiche readers.

Exerts up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, 20 pounds frequently, and 10 pounds constantly to move objects.

This position may contain security‑sensitive elements and is subject to the provisions of the Texas Education Code (51.215).

Employees must permanently reside and work in the State of Texas.
