Lone Star College-Westway Park Technology Center offers high-quality, low-cost academic transfer and career training to 80,000+ students each semester, focusing on Visual Communication, Information Technology, Cyber Security, and related fields.

Purpose and Scope:
Teach and develop courses to facilitate student learning within the curriculum, contributing to the educational environment of LSC and the community. Adjunct faculty are hired part‑time on a semester‑by‑semester basis, with a maximum of five classes per academic year.

• Teach Cybersecurity courses at various times and locations.
• Create engaging lessons that promote student involvement and application of material.
• Submit required college reports and forms in a timely manner.
• Use a course syllabus following institutional guidelines.
• Meet with and advise students by appointment, electronic communication, or other appropriate methods.
• Evaluate students to measure progress toward course objectives and inform them of progress.
• Maintain professional relationships with students, colleagues, and the community.
• Attend meetings, trainings, and orientations as required.
• Perform additional reasonable duties as assigned.

The work is sedentary, with occasional walking, standing, bending, or carrying light items. No special physical demands are required.

• Use PC workstations, calculators, phones, and general office equipment.
• Interface with internal and external contacts as needed.
• Work in climate‑controlled classroom or lab environments.
• Hours vary by class time; instructors must be available outside of class instruction.

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, information technology, engineering, business/computer-related fields, or related field.
• Three years of non‑teaching work experience or industry certifications.

$55.44 per contact hour.
