Essential Job Functions- Teach Network Technology courses at various times and locations.
- Create engaging lessons that promote student involvement and application of the material.
- Submit required college reports and forms in a timely manner.
- Use a course syllabus for each course, following established institutional guidelines.
- Meet with and advise students before or after class, by appointment, electronic communication, or other appropriate methods.
- Evaluate students to measure progress in achieving course objectives and inform students of their progress.
- Maintain professional relationships with students, colleagues, and the community.
- Attend meetings, trainings, and orientations as required.
- Perform other reasonable, related duties as assigned.
- Mastery of course content.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with a collaborative, team‑based style.
- Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to appreciate alternative viewpoints and work effectively with a wide variety of people.
- Interest in interdisciplinary teaching, learning technologies, course development, and adult learning methodologies.
- Commitment to academic excellence, exceptional service, and a dynamic climate for lifelong learning.
- Ability to develop and implement instructional approaches such as service learning, learning communities, and effective use of technology.
- Use effective strategies to engage students in their learning.
- Work is sedentary; occasional walking, standing, bending, carrying light items, or driving may be required. No special physical demands are required.
- Equipment: PC workstation with LAN, Windows environment, calculator, phone, and other general office equipment.
- Interaction:
Internal and external contacts as needed to carry out job functions. - Environment:
Climate‑controlled classroom or lab with minimal exposure to safety hazards. - Hours vary with class schedules; instructors must be available to students outside of scheduled instruction.
- Associate degree or higher in an IT or IT‑related field, plus at least 3 years of non‑teaching work experience or relevant industry certification(s).
Salary: $55.44 per contact hour.
