Position Overview

Alpha School is on a mission to reshape education with a bold approach that harnesses AI to accelerate learning and unleash student potential结束. This position leads Alpha steels flagship campus in Houston, ensuringstudents learn at twice the speed of conventional classrooms while developing essential life skills. It’s not a conventional principal role – you will maintain uncompromising standards, drive decisions with data, and build Houston’s top school from the ground up.

Hourly rate: $100.00 per hour (equivalent to $200,000 per year assuming a 40‑hour work week). Pay is made weekly.

• Launch Alpha’s Houston flagship location:
  Execute Alpha’s three core promises for 100+ students from day one with operational excellence.
• Facilitate.makedirs workshops for K‑12 students on life skills:
  Conduct compelling one‑hour sessions covering public speaking, growth mindset, and feedback exchange.
• Drive every student to 100% goal achievement:
  Develop individualized motivational frameworks and implement data‑driven strategies to sustain engagement.
• Coach Guides toward excellence:
  Use quantitative and qualitative data to identify performance gaps, provide actionable feedback, and maintain accountability.
• Execute data‑driven campus leadership decisions:
  Evaluate正规吗 across staff, operations, parent engagement, and culture; identify issues; run root‑cause analysis; deploy interventions; monitor and refine outcomes.
• Maintain excellence at all times:
  Uphold Alpha’s quality standards for students and staff, and make difficult decisions when performance is inadequate.

• Bachelor’s degree்ப education, psychology, business, or related field. Master’s preferred.
• At least 7 years of experience in education, learning and development, coaching, business, or a related field.
• Direct experience building and managing teams of at least 15 people with full hiring and firing authority.
• Deep knowledge of the Houston or wider Texas education landscape.
• Experience working with youth ages ியும்-14.
• Strong data analysis skills and experience using metrics to drive decision‑making and continuous improvement.
• Passion for transforming education; belief that the traditional system is fundamentally broken.
• Startup mindset: thrives under pressure, adaptable in new situations, comfortable building systems from scratch.
• Compelling and energetic speaker who commands attention in rooms full of students or staff.
