Job Description Purpose and Scope

Teach Math courses in a part‑time capacity, plan, develop, and deliver instruction that facilitates student learning and supports the college’s educational environment.

Essential Job Functions

• Teach Math courses at a variety of times and locations
• Create engaging lessons that promote student involvement and application of the material
• Submit required college reports and forms in a timely manner
• Utilize a course syllabus for each course, following established institutional guidelines
• Meet with and advise students by appointment, electronic communication, or other appropriate methods
• Evaluate students to measure progress toward course objectives and report results promptly
• Maintain professional relationships with students, colleagues, and the community
• Attend meetings, trainings, and orientations as required
• Perform other reasonable duties as assigned

Physical Abilities

The work is sedentary, with occasional walking, standing, bending, and light carrying. No special physical demands are required.

Work Schedule and Conditions

• Use of PC workstation, calculator, phone, and standard office equipment within a Microsoft Windows environment
• Interface with internal and external contacts as needed
• Work in a climate‑controlled classroom with minimal safety hazards
• Hours vary by class time; instructors must be available to students outside of instruction

Required Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Mathematics or a Master’s degree with 18 graduate hours in Mathematics or Statistics

Salary

$55.44 per contact hour.
