Job Description

Purpose and Scope: The PT Specialist III, Timberwolves Leader is responsible for providing support services to Outreach, College Relations, Student Life, Performing Arts department and System Office. They provide information and support across the LSC system. This is a grant‑funded position; continuation contingent upon grant funding.

Essential Job Functions
  • Assist with planning and implementation of student programs at LSC‑Tomball and associated centers.
  • Serve as a peer advisor during campus programs, providing guidance and support.
  • Conduct campus tours for students and community visitors.
  • Provide assistance across Research and Innovation, Career and Transfer, Student Life, Performing Arts, College Relations, Student Services, and System Office events.
  • Prepare for programs/events by gathering and assembling materials.
  • Volunteer with community organizations for special events.
  • Support calling campaigns and other student‑centered programs.
  • Perform other reasonable, related duties as assigned.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent public speaking skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with a diverse population.
  • Ability to enforce LSC policies and procedures.
  • Ability to work autonomously.
  • Excellent organizational and time‑management skills.
  • Knowledge of My Lone Star .
Physical Abilities

Work is sedentary; may involve walking, standing, bending, carrying light items, or driving. No special physical demands.

Work Schedule & Conditions
  • Equipment: PC workstation with Windows, calculator, phone, other office equipment.
  • Interface with internal and external contacts as needed.
  • Work in a climate‑controlled office with minimal safety hazards.
Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Enrolled at LSC‑Tomball minimum six hours of college credit per semester.
  • Maintain GPA of 2.75 or higher.
  • Maintain good academic and disciplinary standing.
Salary

Hourly Pay Rate: $15.60
