• Teach Humanities courses at various times and locations, up to five classes per academic year.
• Create engaging lessons that promote student involvement and application of material.
• Submit required college reports and forms timely.
• Follow institutional course syllabus guidelines.
• Meet with and advise students by appointment via email, electronic communication, or other appropriate methods.
• Evaluate students, report progress, and provide feedback.
• Maintain professional relationships with colleagues, and community.
• Attend meetings, trainings, and orientations as required.
• Perform other reasonable related duties as assigned.

• Use of effective strategies to engage students.

• Master’s degree in humanities, liberal arts, art history, classical studies, or equivalent (minimum 18 graduate hours in philosophy, English literature, arts, history, or humanities).

• Work is sedentary, with occasional walking, standing, bending, carrying light items, or driving.
• Uses PC workstation, calculator, phone, general office equipment.
• Work performed in climate‑controlled classroom/lab environment.
• Hours vary by class; available outside class instruction.

Salary: $55.44 per contact hour.
