Job Description Purpose and Scope

The faculty's role is to provide learning activities that achieve course objectives and foster a positive educational environment. Adjunct faculty are hired part-time on a semester basis, based on student demand, with a maximum of five classes per year.

Essential Job Functions
  • Teach Art courses at various times and locations
  • Create engaging lessons that promote student involvement
  • Submit reports and forms timely
  • Follow institutional guidelines for syllabi
  • Meet and advise students through various methods
  • Evaluate student progress and communicate results
  • Maintain professional relationships
  • Attend required meetings and trainings
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

    Physical Abilities

    The work is sedentary with some walking, standing, and light carrying. No special physical demands are required.

    • Hours vary based on class schedules
    Required Qualifications
    • MA or MFA in art, or a Master's with 18 graduate hours in art
