Job OverviewAll IDEA teachers are responsible for ensuring that every IDEA student masters the academic and social skills necessary to succeed in college, while also embodying IDEA’s values daily. Teachers set ambitious goals, invest students and families, create a powerful learning environment, plan and deliver purposeful, rigorous instruction, assess for mastery, track progress, analyze data, intervene and adjust instruction, and seek excellence as an educator and an IDEA team member.
What We Offer- Starting salary for 0 years of experience is $62,500, with stipends ranging from $500 to $4,000 based on certifications, credentials, and campus leadership. Additional compensation includes up to $10,000 through the Teacher Career Pathway.
- Additional hourly compensation for after school tutoring or Saturday school as assigned.

- High level of content‑area proficiency evidenced by teaching certification, field of study, or work experience.
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four‑year educational institution required.
- Experience in a K‑12 classroom setting strongly preferred.
- State certification preferred but not required.
- Implement state learning standards and IDEA curricula and assessments.
- Learn, master, and deliver relevant content and grade‑level curriculum.
- Submit weekly lesson plans two weeks in advance for feedback.
- Use formal and informal assessments to track student progress and adjust lesson plans accordingly.
- Communicate student progress with students and families on a weekly basis.
- Use technology effectively to improve student achievement and manage work‑related tasks.
- Implement a clear and consistent behavior management system aligned to campus‑wide initiatives.
- Help shape a school‑wide culture that fosters a productive and enthusiastic learning environment for each student.
- Maintain a cooperative working relationship with students and families based on trust and respect.
- Host necessary tutoring sessions to meet all students’ needs.
- Participate in weekly manager check‑ins, grade‑level meetings and school‑wide meetings.
- Engage in summer and year‑long district, school and personal learning and development.
- Work at least 40+ hours per week at school.
- Additional responsibilities may include after‑school tutoring or Saturday school based on need.
