The Village School is a private college preparatory school for grades Early Childhood through High School. Our High School offers the International Baccalaureate Diploma program and boarding opportunities through the Nord Anglia Boarding program.

• Act as a professional teammate, working productively with and respectfully towards colleagues so that all feel valued, supported, and part of the team.
• Maintain a learning‑focused classroom culture based on high expectations, routines, and mutual respect so that all students feel safe to move out of their comfort zone to achieve more.
• Be knowledgeable about what students study and use that knowledge to plan lessons that address student challenges.
• Provide appropriate scaffolding and support, such as guided practice and frequent feedback, to ensure all ability levels gain confidence and progress toward independent proficiency.
• Include opportunities for students to explain, discuss, explore, reflect, and solve problems so that they are highly engaged and encouraged to think critically and creatively.
• Be flexible and responsive to student needs by regularly using formative assessment strategies to check for understanding and adjust instruction as needed.
• Accurately measure and report student attainment using collaboratively developed assessments so that students reliably demonstrate mastery of content and skills.
• Seek continual improvement each year by embracing coaching and engaging in professional development to improve student outcomes and demonstrate lifelong learning.

• Successful teaching in any field of study.
• Experience teaching at one or more of the following grade levels:
  Pre‑K, Elementary, Middle, and High School.
