Adjunct Faculty, Art – Lone Star College
Position:
Adjunct Faculty, Art (Part-time)
Location:
Houston, TX
Responsibilities
- Teaches Art courses at a variety of times and locations
- Creates engaging lessons that promote student involvement and application of the material
- Submits required college reports and forms in a timely manner
- Utilizes a course syllabus for each course, following established institutional guidelines
- Meets with and advises students before or after class or by appointment, via electronic communication or other appropriate methods
- Evaluates students to measure progress in achieving course objectives and informs students of their progress in a timely manner
- Maintains professional relationships with students, colleagues, and the community
- Attends meetings, trainings, and orientations as required
- Performs other reasonable related duties as assigned
Qualifications
- MA or MFA in art, studio art, art education, or art history, OR a Master’s degree with 18 graduate hours in art, studio art, or art history
Salary
$55.44 per contact hour.
Work Schedule and Conditions
- Part-time adjunct positions with classes offered day, evening, and weekend at various times and locations during the academic year
- Work is conducted in a climate-controlled classroom or lab environment; standard safety precautions apply
