K-12 Testing Monitor Position Overview

To support our evaluation team in administering student assessments in a K-12 setting. This role will focus on assisting evaluators by ensuring technology and materials are properly prepared, monitoring testing environments, and providing logistical support. The ideal candidate is organized, tech-savvy, and comfortable working in a school setting to facilitate smooth and efficient evaluation sessions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Technology Setup & Troubleshooting
  • Prepare laptops, tablets, and other devices required for testing.
  • Set up secure testing platforms/software and ensure internet connectivity.
  • Troubleshoot minor technical issues during assessments (with evaluator guidance).
  • Proctoring & Environment Management
  • Assist in maintaining a quiet, distraction-free testing environment.
  • Monitor student behavior to ensure standardized administration procedures.
  • Support evaluators in keeping testing materials secure and organized.
  • Evaluator Support
  • Assist evaluators in distributing and collecting materials.
  • Document and track testing accommodations as directed.
  • Provide clerical support such as note-taking, scheduling, and data entry.
Communication & Collaboration
  • Work under the direct supervision of the evaluator or assigned staff.
  • Communicate promptly about any issues that may disrupt testing.
  • Always maintain professionalism and confidentiality.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; some college coursework preferred.
  • Prior experience in an educational or testing environment is a plus.
  • Strong computer literacy and ability to troubleshoot basic tech issues.
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to follow directions, uphold confidentiality, and remain attentive in proctoring situations.
Work Environment
  • School-based setting, supporting students individually or in small groups.
  • Requires flexibility to adapt to different testing schedules and environments.
  • Offers are pending a background check
