Locum Jobs Online  is working with Vie Med Healthcare Staffing to find a qualified Obstetrics and Gynecology MD in Houston, Texas, 77030!

Locum – Physician – OB Hospitalist Houston, TX

This role offers you the opportunity to provide exceptional obstetric care, ensure positive patient outcomes, and advance your professional experience within a supportive and engaging setting. If you are passionate about women's health and possess the qualifications outlined below, this position is an excellent fit for your expertise.

Required Skills:

Valid medical license to practice in Texas

Board certification or eligibility in Obstetrics and Gynecology (OB-GYN)

Proven experience as an OB Hospitalist or in obstetric inpatient care

Ability to manage high-acuity obstetric cases efficiently and effectively

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Strong clinical judgment and decision-making abilities

Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team

Nice to Have

Skills:

Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems

Familiarity with hospital-based obstetric protocols and procedures

Bilingual abilities, especially Spanish, are a plus

Additional certifications such as Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)

Preferred

Education and Experience:

MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school

Minimum of 2 years of inpatient obstetric care experience

Prior experience working in hospitalist settings strongly preferred

Other Requirements:

Must hold and maintain current medical licensure and certifications in Texas

Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed

Ability to travel within Houston area as required

Must adhere to all applicable hospital and healthcare regulations

This position offers a competitive hourly pay rate of $195.00, along with comprehensive benefits including weekly pay via direct deposit, medical coverage, paid sick leave, licensure and certification reimbursements, and other travel-related expenses when applicable.
