Houston Methodist Baytown is seeking a General Surgeon to join its expanding practice of 4 physicians. Located just 24 miles from downtown Houston, this is an excellent opportunity to join the #1 Hospital System in TX and the areas only full-service hospital specializing in medical care for patients at every stage in life.
Primary focus on unplanned and urgent general surgery, including:
Emergency general surgery (EGS):
Acute appendicitis
Cholecystitis
Small bowel obstruction
Perforated viscus
GI bleeding requiring operative intervention
Soft tissue infections and abscesses
Hernias (urgent/emergent)
Opportunity Highlights
Multidisciplinary collaboration with ED, hospitalists, ICU, anesthesia, radiology, and nursing
APP Support
Shared call rotation
Qualifications:
Must be Board Certified or Board Eligible in General Surgery
Ability to obtain a Texas medical license or have a Texas medical license in good standing.
Candidates with experience or new residents/fellows are welcome to apply.
