Overview
Assistant Professor, Clinical Faculty Appointment (CFA) - Pediatrics - Patient Care. This clinical faculty position in the division of Pediatrics involves inpatient clinical activity, teaching, and participation in clinical research, with responsibilities centered on patient care and medical education.
Responsibilities- Spend the majority of clinical activity in the Inpatient Service and communicate effectively with patients, family members, hospital staff, and other faculty members within the institution.
- Provide clinical expertise in patient care management with combined Pediatrics and General Internal Medicine and create an appropriate teaching environment for fellows, residents, and students.
- Participate in development of clinical research studies; independently responsible for new patient evaluations, initiation of referrals, and follow-up as appropriate. Perform standard clinical procedures relevant to delivering standard patient care.
Other details: work location onsite; participate in ongoing clinical activities and teaching responsibilities as part of the role.
Qualifications- Medical degree (MD/DO) from an accredited medical school or equivalent.
- Completed an accredited pediatrics residency program.
- Completion of an accredited pediatric hematology-oncology fellowship is sought; strong background in oncology is encouraged to apply.
- Board certified or board eligible in general pediatrics by the American Board of Pediatrics.
- Licensed to practice as a physician in the State of Texas.
Salary and benefits:
Target base salary range of $223,241 to $268,672 with eligibility for incentive compensation, comprehensive health, wellness, time off, retirement benefits, and relocation support, as applicable.
