Overview
The Henry J. N. Taub Department of Emergency Medicine at Baylor College of Medicine (BCM) is looking for Faculty of all levels who are interested in a career in Academic Emergency Medicine. We are hiring faculty of all ranks and seek applicants with strong interest and background in areas such as research, ultrasound, critical care, quality, health policy, medical education, or operations.
Clinical opportunities, including nocturnist positions, are available at our affiliated hospitals. We offer diverse clinical exposure, BCM's reputation for excellence in education and research, a competitive academic salary, and a comprehensive benefits package.
- Provide expert Emergency Medicine care across three premier clinical sites:
Ben Taub General Hospital (high-volume Level 1 trauma center), Baylor St. Luke's Medical Center (high-acuity qua ternary care and transplant center), and Texas Children's Hospital (nationally top-ranked, comprehensive pediatric hospital). - Work among multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality patient care, adhere to best practices, follow care directives, and participate in performance improvement.
- Contribute meaningfully to department goals and support the overall success of the organization.
- Graduation from an accredited Medical School
- Current Texas medical license
- Current Federal Drug Enforcement Administration license
- Board certification or Board eligibility in Emergency Medicine
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) & Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
