The Department of Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Nutrition (GHN) at MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas is recruiting a full‑time Gastroenterologist at the academic rank of Associate Professor, Clinical Faculty Appointment.
Responsibilities- Provide outstanding clinical expertise including patient care management related to endoscopic and non‑endoscopic procedures, outpatient clinic, and inpatient service.
- Promote a teaching environment for residents, fellows, and other trainees.
- Contribute to daily operations through innovative research, clinical judgment, active participation in educational endeavors, and independent decision making.
- Doctorate‑level degree in a field appropriate to the faculty role and department mission.
- Licensed by the Texas Medical Board to practice or eligible to practice in Texas.
- Board certification in Internal Medicine.
- Board certification or eligibility by the American Board of Internal Medicine in Gastroenterology.
- Certification in Basic Life Support or Advanced Cardiac Life Support.
- Ten years post‑fellowship experience as a clinician in gastroenterology and performing gastrointestinal endoscopic procedures, or five years’ experience as Assistant Professor or equivalent.
Onsite/Hybrid
CompensationTarget base salary: $415,788 to $506,564. Eligible for incentive compensation and comprehensive benefits including health, wellness, time off, savings, retirement, and relocation support.
