Physician Assistant – Orthopedic Surgery (Tomball, TX)

Baptist Health System invites applications for the Physician Assistant – Orthopedic Surgery position located in Tomball, TX. This role is part of Tenet Physician Resources.

We are looking for a dedicated professional to provide patient-centered care within a collaborative orthopedic practice.
Responsibilities include:

• Provide physician assistant services to patients as directed by the physician’s patient care plan and supervised by the physician.
• Ensure completion of all required documentation of patient care activities in accordance with TPR policy.
• Fulfill all duties assigned by the physician, including reporting injuries or adverse reactions, participating in patient review conferences, staffing, and supporting quality improvement activities.
• Assist with utilization review, quality assurance, program evaluation, infection control, safety committee activities; interpret laboratory results, perform tests, and oversee appropriate procedures.
• Conduct health teaching and counseling during examinations, provide consultative direction to nursing and clinic staff, order medications, and perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
:

• Graduate of an approved and accredited Physician Assistant master’s program.
• Physician Assistant license to practice in Texas; CPR certified; DEA registration with Texas.
• Minimum of two (2) years of clinical experience as a Physician Assistant.
