Palliative Care - Baytown

Overview

Houston Methodist Specialty Physician Group is seeking a full-time Palliative Care Physician to join the Houston Methodist Baytown team. The physician will primarily provide outpatient palliative care to reduce or control pain and debilitating symptoms and will lead discussions about goals of care, prognosis, treatment options, and advanced care planning. The successful candidate will also lead a team of 3 experienced inpatient Palliative Care NPs.

• Provide outpatient palliative care focused on symptom management and goal-directed discussions with patients and families.
• Lead and coordinate a team of 3 inpatient Palliative Care NPs.
• Engage in treatment planning discussions, prognosis communication, and advanced care planning with patients and care teams.

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Palliative Care.
• Ability to obtain a Texas medical license or have a Texas medical license in good standing.
• Candidates with experience or new residents/fellows are welcome to apply.
