The Department of Thoracic/Head & Neck Medical Oncology (THNMO) at MD Anderson Cancer Center invites applicants for a full-time academic appointment at the level of assistant professor. This is a clinical faculty position in the speciality of head and neck medical oncology that primary involves patient care and clinical research.

This position offers the opportunity for professional growth and development by joining an exciting and active group of clinicians, physician-scientists, and clinical, basic science, and translational investigators.

The successful candidate will closely interact with the many ongoing THNMO research programs focusing on carcinogenesis and prevention, treatment, biomarker development, and other projects in support of personalized medicine. The faculty member will have access to THNMO’s substantial patient resources, core facilities, molecular pathology laboratories, and educational/training programs. THNMO is currently funded by a NIH Specialized Programs of Research Excellence (SPORE), HPV Cancer Moon Shot, and other programmatic and peer-reviewed grants that facilitate the department’s translational research initiatives.

Responsibilities will include clinical care, clinical research, and teaching. Salary benchmark $300,000.
