Steel Detailer/Project Manager (Structural Steel/Misc. Metal Fabrication)

JOB DESCRIPTION

An AISC fabricator in the area is looking for a Steel Detailer/Project Manager. The ideal candidate is capable of creating detailed fabrication drawings for structural steel components from architectural and structural design plans. They have the ability to answer questions and keep the project moving forward efficiently. Experience using 2D and 3D designing software is highly preferred. Candidates must have a strong working knowledge of detailing design standards and guidelines for AISC steel construction.

• Create detailed fabrication drawings for structural steel components from architectural and structural design plans.
• Answer questions and help keep projects moving forward efficiently.
• Utilize 2D and 3D design software as required.
• Ensure compliance with AISC detailing design standards and guidelines.

• Knowledge of AISC steel construction detailing design standards and guidelines
• Detail-oriented, strong problem-solving skills, excellent organizational skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Excel, e-mail and internet applications, PDF and image management software
• Detailing Software experience:
  Tekla, SDS/2, Advanced Steel, StruMIS, or AutoCAD preferred
